Places We've Been

We took quite a few trips this year. Here are some highlights:

Jeremiah, Jordan, Simon share a ride in a real limousine, which Simon calls
a "VCR." That's probably because it had a VCR in it and Dad said, "Look,
a VCR," which Simon took to mean the whole car. Anyway.

Not your typical vacation shot, Dan thought he would capture
the essence of "leaving the room" each day at Disneyworld.
Here you see Jonah halfway down the hall, Jeremiah lounging
while Jordan and the rest of them emerge from the room.

Even though Mommy said that each boy could get only one toy in the
Star Wars shop, Jeremiah begs away for two.

No, that's not a centerpiece. What you see is Simon's booty for the morning buffet. On the
right is a pile of bacon with a muffin. On the left is a large supply of pastry, about half of
which he managed to eat.

"So many toys, so little time."

Sure, Disneyworld was near empty and the humidity was high, but only
twice in the week were we forced to flee back to the hotel because of some sort of
flash flood. Here we stand outside MGM Studios, drenched but loving it.

Our second downpour was at the Blizzard Beach water park. (Jordan stayed
in the room that day to read some Russian novel in Russian.) Mom and the boys are
standing under an awning you can't see. But the daddy and kids in the background
are tell the story of how hard it was coming down.

"The wonderful thing about Tigger...is that his head comes off!"
"Knock if off, Dan."

The wee boys battle it out in the San Diego Zoo (after visiting Legoland the day before).
