Age 7. 2nd Grade.
| Simon is loving his second grade class, and especially his teacher Mrs. Williams. His highlight of the year this far has been participating in the Reader's Theater program, where Simon played a member of the Food Pyramid Café. He did an awesome job.
Last spring Simon played baseball (not T-ball), where they actually use a pitching machine. He did quite well. He would also like to play basketball (back-set-ball), football, soccer and hockey. Currently he's a yellow belt in Shudokan Karate. Simon loves to eat. He loves watching TV. He's seen every episode of Scooby Doo at least twice. In school, he's very good at math though he's not really into reading. Occasionally he surprises us at what he can read, though. And this has nothing to do with his habit of walking around the house carrying some technical book. He was last seen with a copy of Atlas Shrugged, which he looks at all the time (despite it lacking illustrations). His favorite type of joke is the knock-knock joke. Simon also claims to be Chinese. But when the Chinese man at the local Chinese restaurant asked Simon which part of China he was from, Simon answered, "the beach." He does speak, Chinese, however. Dan taught Simon how to say "thank you" in Chinese. Now we only have to explain to the waiter in the Mexican restaurant what |

| Simon's 2nd Grade class wrote a bunch of letters to Santa that were printed in the paper. Yes, this is Simon's first published material. Yeah.
Simon is the tall one standing in front of Mrs. Williams (his teacher). Here is Simon's picture in the paper:
